Last month, Swarovski exhibited 22 "Crystallized" iconic little black dresses as part of a luxurious cocktail party at the Museum of CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts) in Wangjing.
As part
of an international fund-raising initiative, Swarovski commissioned 22
of fashion's most talented designers last year to design their own unique creation of the classic black dress.
These selected designers include some high fashion designers from Jean Paul
Gaultier, Philip Lim, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino,
Fendi, Lavin, Givenchy, Donna Karan New York and Giorgio
Armani Prive.
These dresses will all be part of a one-of-a-kind collection to be auctioned in September 2010 in New York City after its tour around the world. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society and la Ligue nationale contre le cancer in France.
