Last month, Swarovski exhibited 22 "Crystallized"  iconic little black dresses as part of a luxurious cocktail party at the Museum of CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts) in Wangjing.

As part of an international fund-raising initiative, Swarovski commissioned 22 of fashion's most talented designers last year to design their own unique creation of the classic black dress. 

These selected designers include some high fashion designers from Jean Paul Gaultier, Philip Lim, Vivienne Westwood,  Valentino, Fendi, Lavin, Givenchy, Donna Karan New York and Giorgio Armani Prive. 

These dresses will all be part of a one-of-a-kind collection to be auctioned in September 2010 in New York City after its tour around the world. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society and la Ligue nationale contre le cancer in France.

Saturday June, 27 from 4 pm to 9 pm, we celebrate the official opening of The Space,Beijing. The Space hosts until the end of the summer an art & fashion exhibition, giving the chance to young talents to extend their visibility to a large audience for free, providing lounges to relax and have a drink. Later in the evening, we will open the biggest terrass of the Gulou area, with an exceptional view over the Drum Tower and Bell Tower within a psychedelic environment.

The 17th China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC2009) from March 26th to 29th will be held at the new China International Exhibition Center (New CIEC). The fair is co-organized by China National Garment Association, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd and The Suc-council of Textile Industry CCPIT.

The grand gala of China's garment industry, CHIS2009 will inclue eight exhibition halls with a total area of 100,000 sq.m. About 20 types of garmetnts will be displayed in 10 sections, including men's wear, women's wear, casual wear, kid's wear, leather and fur, down wear, accessories, creation design and fashion. More than 800 brands from 21 countries and regions, including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the United States, and Pakistan, as well as Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao spcial administrative regions and Taiwan province, will be exhibitined during the fair.

Le Divan, The Doudy Fourhundred, and Punk Bar is a great example of a the collective creative events happening in Beijing, China to bring together press, customers, and creatives to talk about fashion in an elegant setting with great DJ's. Warren Pang started the UNIFORM x PUNK events because, "[Punk] is a boutique bar and hotel, and they are always interested in mixing up with fashion. Having lived in Beijing 5 years I know that there are great brands out there. We wanted to bring them out into the spotlight. The events are like having the after show party, without the show." The Dowdy Fourhundred, headed up by Ali Nosrati, is a Swedish design and locally produced men's leather accessories brand. "Why the name? When I think of the word "dowdy" I picture this old man, and the "fourhundred" refers to the story of the four hundred elite guests in a story that I read.     The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art presents the exhibition "Christian Dior and Chinese Artists" starting November 16th, 2008 in Beijing.

    Conceived as a highly innovative project, this exhibition creates a dialogue between two continents and two different means of expression, contemporary art and fashion.

    20 Chinese commissioned artists were presented at this important event, which symbolized the opening of a dialogue between two different means of expression, contemporary art and fashion. They were Wang Du (王度), Zhang Huan (張洹), Huang Rui (黃銳), Li Songsong (李鬆鬆), Zhang Dali (張大力), Xu Zhongmin (許仲敏), Liu Jianhua (劉建華), Lu Hao (盧昊), Wang Qingsong (王慶松), Yan Lei (顏磊), Zhang Xiaogang, (張曉剛),Wen Fang (文芳), Shi Jingsong (史金凇), Wang Gongxin (王功新), Shi Xiaofan (時曉凡), Liu Wei (劉韡), Rong Rong & Inri (榮榮和映裡), Tim Yip (葉錦添), Qiu Zhijie (邱志傑) and Ma Yangsong (馬岩松).

    These artists will be presented alongside the designs which inspired them, whether designed by Monsieur Dior, John Galliano, Kris Van Assche for Dior Homme or Victoire de Castellane for the Haute Joaillerie, as well as emblematic objects from the house's perfumes and accessories. The perfumes are placed in a context whose strength extends beyond the era of their creation to project them into Dior's present and future. A selection of creations, sketches and photographs from the Dior archives underlines the historical importance of a house that recently celebrated its 60th birthday, and highlights the key elements that remain a source of inspiration for the future. By allowing these Chinese artists to express its identity, Dior displays its capacity for reinvention in a contemporary world.

   The originality of this project relies on an unusual layout that brings the visitor to the heart of the Chinese art scene, currently one of the world's most innovative, audacious and productive. The works reveal a unique process of confronting Eastern and Western cultures in a futuristic perspective.

   At once a venue of expression and a platform for contemporary creation, the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art has established itself in a year as the source of new artistic trends in China. With Christian Dior and Chinese Contemporary Art, the UCCA once again reinvents a creative dialogue as vital and lively as the Chinese art scene.
